Are you too thinking like this ? Do you think that to close Finacle counter by 04:30 pm is impossible? THEN YOU ARE WRONG. I myself have worked in Finacle counter for more than 1 year. I used to close the counter before 4pm itself (Counter timings 10am to 3pm).
Ohhh 4pm tak close kar diya tha? Tho counter may so raha hoga !!! Kuch kaam nahi hoga shayad !!!Sorry my dear, I used to work in RD counter of Secunderabad HO. ( Secunderabad HO was once the office with highest number of transactions in SB in India and presently i think it stands in second place after Kolkata GPO). And there are almost 100 MPKBY agents in Secunderabad HO. You can imagine the amount of work I used to do. Prior to Finacle I used to come office around 8am and leave office only after 7pm. Don't ask the timings during the month endings. It was like hell on those days. But thanks to finacle, my work was greatly reduced. Yes I agree that there were many problems in the beginning. But as the time passed by I enjoyed a lot. I shall thank my friends N Rajesh, G Parameshwar, Satya Undavalli ( Who wrote all the procedures of this blog) , Sandeep Veeramalli ( Author of POfinacleGuide Blog), P Santhosh Kumar, Kiran Dasari, IVN Sandhya, D Divya Sri and many others. These fellows are all highly intelligent. All the solutions we put in this blog are their personal experiences. These guys , especially N Rajesh used to close the counter by 03:15 on many occasions. Satya used to work in Certificates counter during the time where each certificate has to be closed individually. No bulk discharge menu was available at that time. Even at that time he used to issue more than 20lakhs and discharge almost 30lakhs every day. Thats HUGE. Isn't it? But still Satya used to close the counter well before the office timings. These people are like, if you want them to close the counter by 03:15pm ( 10am to 3pm office timings) they will close it.
Kya Phek ra hai baap. Abhi bas bhi kar na.
No sir! what all I'm
telling you is 100% truth. Then how is it possible for them to do transactions
so fast? Today we will share with you personal experiences of my friends one by
one. You please follow their footsteps and you can also complete your finacle
work fast and go home quickly.

" Remember all codes. Don't click
searcher always to enter the code. Remember the codes and enter them directly. "
This tip from Rajesh was
huge for me in the counter. Because every time I used to click the searcher
button to enter mode of operation, nomination relations, etc etc. Didn't you
get the point? Let me explain with an example. Lets say we are creating a CIF.
In Title field directly enter "MR" or "MRS" or
"MS" instead of clicking the search button beside it. In the document
details section, in document type field enter "IDPRF" for identity
proof or "ADPRF" for address proof directly without clicking on the
searcher. In the document code field enter the document codes directly without
clicking the searcher. Ex: ADHAR for aadhar card, PANCD for pancard, DL for
driving license etc. Like this if you remember all the codes it will save huge
amounts of time and since our internet speeds are very slow this tip is a huge
time saver.
This tip can greatly
improve your speed of cif creation, modifications, scheme transfers, account
openings, and every where there is a need to click the searcher. Directly enter
the codes without clicking the search button.

mouse to minimum. The more you use the keyboard to do transactions, the faster
you can complete them."
That's another fantastic
tip. Satya Undavalli is the one who has written all the step by step procedures
to finacle transactions in this blog. You guys might have observed the emphasis
he has given to key board shortcuts. Wherever you see "Click on GO",
it will be followed by "F4" and wherever you see "Click on
Submit/Post" it will be followed by "F10". He slowly induced you
guys to the habit of using keyboard shortcuts. Like F4 is the keyboard shortcut
for GO, F10 is the keyboard shortcut for POST/SUBMIT, F9 is the shortcut for viewing
Signatures and so on so forth.
I will give you a list of
key board shortcuts. Start using them.
1) To go to menu shortcut
field ----- CTRL+M
2) GO -- F4
3) POST/SUBMIT -- F10
4) View signature while
withdrawal --- F9
5) Use TAB button to move
to next fields
6) While choosing
Function/ Function code use key board keys. For eg. While account closure we
have to choose function as Z-close. Instead of using mouse just press Z on the
keyboard. Similarly use A for add, C for cash normal receipt etc.
7) Use SPACE BAR to click
buttons, check boxes and radio buttons.

We cannot completely
avoid the usage of mouse. If we can keep its usage to minimum and use it only
when absolutely needed your work can be done very fast.

Many of us have a very
wrong habit of doing the transactions after counter hours. Like we keep account
openings, closures, agent transactions to do after counter hours. That's an
absolute NO NO. Don't keep anything pending to do after counter hours.
Tu aake kar re counter. Thab pata chalega kyun pending rakthe hain. Saala bol raha hai ki pending mat rakho. Jaanta nahi hai kitna bheed rahtha hai meri office may.
Hahahaha. Are you
thinking in the same way. Yes its a little bit tough but you have to follow
this tip to go home early. Kiran is very particular about this thing and
rightly so. We started adopting this habit very lately but after we started
practicing this tip we never went late to home again. How is it possible to not
keep anything pending. Follow the instructions carefully
1) When a customer comes
to your counter to open a new account. Since we know it will take a long time
we will give him the receipt and send him away in less than one minute. Why are
you sending the customer from counter in less than 1 minute? Will you get any
award for that? No! Lets see what you have to do. When any customer comes for
new account opening. Verify the documents and start creating the cif
immediately or modify the cif if already a cif is available. If you create the
cif half of your work is over. After creating cif you send the customer. Now
next customer will come. Do his transactions. Don't send him. Verify the cif id
which you created previously. After cif verification is completed, send the
second customer. Now the third customer will come. Do his transactions and open
the new account also. And while doing the transactions of next customer verify
this new account. Make this a habit. By adopting these kind of techniques at
the time of counter closing you will not have any pending transactions.
What i want to tell you
is, do parallel transactions. Some customers will bring only one voucher. Some
will come only for passbook entries. Do the transactions during these times.
2) Agent transactions can
also be done by adopting the same strategies as said above. Do agent
transactions and public transactions at the same time. But see to it that no
customer stays more than 10 mins at your counter.

Santhosh is one of the
first 4 user champions of AP Circle. He used to monitor all the transactions
from time to time and see to it that there are no pending transactions at any
time. He always insisted that entered state transactions should be verified
first.Verification of all vouchers is crucial for day end. But there is
sequence. High priority should be given to entered state transactions which are
RD DEPOSITS and SB WDL above 5000. Next priority should be given to account
openings and closures. After verification of entered state transactions,
account openings and closures only posted state transactions are to be verified.
There is a reason for this. If entered state transactions, account openings and
closures are verified , counter PA can continue his work of generating LOTs,
printing them , cash tallying etc. But if you start verifying posted
transactions first and keep entered state transactions for later, only GOD can
help you.
Counter PAs and
supervisors should periodically check for pending transactions in entered
state, account openings and closures. Don't wait till the counter closing time.
Try to verify these as soon as possible.

Sandeep Veeramalli is

In fact its only because of him we could all master Finacle transactions.
Sandeep is currently working in CPC AP circle. Sandeep's message to all SOs who
have BOs attached to them is " Do all BO transactions after day end
only". Yes, you have to do BO transactions only after initiating day end.
After change of date is over you have to start doing BO transactions. That way
you need not wait till late hours to complete all BO transactions today itself.
You will have time till tomorrow day end to complete BO transactions.
We all know that
officials with BOs are suffering a lot due to BO RD transactions. Our highly
intelligent administration has come up with a strange business development idea
to open 10 Rs RD accounts. BPMs were terrorized to open accounts and we are all
suffering due to that highly shameful business development tactic. There cannot
be a greater dishonor to our 150 year old department to procure income by
opening 10 rs RD accounts. But what can we do. There is a solution for this
foolish nonsense of bo rd deposits.
Open SB accounts for
customers who have of bulk RD accounts and give Standing instructions from SB
to RD.
Saala yeh bhi koi solution hai? transactions karne may hi G may D ho raha hai. Abhi bol raha hai ki SB account kholo aur SI kardo! Pagal hai ekdam.
Arey bhai jaanta hoon ki
poora G may D hai. Isi liye tho ye bol raha hun. This is the only way. First
month you will face lot of trouble for opening SB accounts for all bo
customers. But that effort will not go in vain, From next month no more bulk rd
deposits will come. Only Sb deposit vouchers will be there and they can be
verified using bulk verification menus. If you can work hard for one month then
no more trouble from next month. Choice is yours.

Doing work with finacle is not a single man show. Its a collective effort. Unfortunately in many offices counter PA himself is doing verification also.Ab last may mera bhi ek tip le lo.
Tujhe kaisa pata hai re. Tu konsa telescope se dekh raha hi ki mere office may sirf counter PA kaam kar raha hai
Arey bhaisaab hamara network hi kuch aisa hai. Just joking LOL.
Its an undeniable fact
that many of our elderly staff are not very comfortable working with computers.
They are a little slow. But counter PA brothers and sisters, have some
patience. Let them learn. Share your computer knowledge with them. Show them
how to quickly verify the vouchers. With your support and a little
encouragement they will improve their speed. If they can verify transactions
with quarter the speed you do transactions you all can go home early. By
not teaching them your methods of faster work, you will be overburdened with
double work and also you are not utilizing your more experienced and very
responsible resource, which is wrong.
Supervisor sirs and
madams please don't have that inferiority complex that your computer knowledge
is less. Ye saale b tech vaale kya paidaishi se computer expert hai kya?
Nahin na. Aap pooch ke dekhiye UCP ka contra UCR entry ka matlab kya hai tho
bhaag jayange computer chod ke. You guys are more experienced than us. You have
more knowledge about the working procedures than the younger generation.
Computer is just a machine.Like a TV or AC or your two wheeler. Initially you
will feel a little uncomfortable but once you know how to operate you will
admire the power of computer. So keep aside your ego or "Mai iss bache se
seekhu kya? Kabhi Nahi!" kind of attitude and learn from your younger
friends. Learn how to work faster with computer. Its for everyone's good.
So this is how we used to
finish our work faster. We had great support from our Supervisors. They used to
compete with us in speed.
