New Financial year is
starting with a good news. No more printing of 100s of certificates for
NSC/KVP. Government has decided to discontinue issuing of physical pre-printed
NSC and KVP certificates with effect from 01/04/2016. Instead of pre printed
physical mode of certificates electronic mode of certificates of NSC/KVP will be
issued. That means a single certificate will be issued to the customer instead
of multiple certificates of different denominations. For example only one
certificate will be issued for a deposit of Rs.1000/- or Rs.100000/- or even
Rs10,00,000/-.
Thats great news to all
the postal fraternity. Printing of each certificate using HDRP menu was really
a pain in the A**.
The order also said that
until such time where electronic mode certificates are not available, passbooks
are to be issued to the customers. That means no more certificates non sense.
Even movement of stock transactions will also become stopped.
