Before we
start our Finacle Online tutorials from 24/04/2016, we want to share some of
our knowledge with you so that you can be sure that you are going to get the

Today we
will tell you five cases where an SB account closure will fail. Failing of SB
closure means, the account will be closed in counter PA login. But while
verification in supervisor login it will show errors and will not let you
verify the transaction. So if you get any error while closure of the SB account
please be sure to check these cases.
So let's see what are those cases one by one.
1. Any interest credit accounts linked to SB account
SB
closure will fail if any MIS/TD/SCSS interest auto credit exist at the time of
closure of SB account. Then what should we do for this situation. The solution
is SB account can only be closed only after the linked MIS/SB/TD account is
closed. After closing MIS/TD/SCSS account, try closing the SB account on the
next day.
2. SB account and linked interest credit account are closed on the same day.
As
said in the first reason we cannot close the SB account linked with MIS/TD/SCSS
accounts. So we cannot close them on the same day also. So try closing the SB
account only on the next day of the MIS/TD/SCSS account closure.
3. If the SB account is silent.
When
any SB account is silent, the closure will fail. The solution is simple, just
revive the account. Use CASBAM menu. Choose FUNCTION as Modify, enter the a/c
id and click on GO. Change the status of the account and enter the account
revival date. Click on Submit button. Verify in supervisor login using the same
menu. After revival of account, the account can be closed without any problem.
4. If SB account modification is pending for verification.
If
you modify the SB account and forget verifying, the closure will fail. Come on
man, never forget verification of any transaction. Use HAFI menu to see if there
any pending transaction for verification before EOD everyday. So the solution
for this case is, just verify the account in supervisor login and then continue
with account closure.
5. If CIF of SB account is pending for verification then also SB account closure will fail.
(Yeh
kya pareshaani hai yaar. LOL. )
Again
don't forget to verify any transaction you do in the counter. Unfortunately we
don't know any menu to see unverified CIF Ids. So just keep in mind to verify
everything you do. The solution for this case is just verify the CIF id and
continue with the closure procedure.
So,
these are the 5 reasons for the failure of SB account closure. Keep them in
