RD Closure error - Withdrawal amount
exceeds the difference between the principal and lien amount in DOP Finacle
When an RD account is
closed we get the error sometimes as " Withdrawal amount exceeds the
difference between the principal and lien amount "
1.The above problem arises when RD loan principal amount is fully paid before migration i..e., If the loan account is opened before migration ( in Sanchay Post) and the loan amount is fully paid in sanchay post.
2.In this case Loan
account number will not be generated during migration but for loan interest
LIEN will be marked for the corresponding RD account.
Solution:
1.Before closing the RD
account LIEN should be removed by invoking the menu HALM.
2.Invoke the menu HALM
and select the function as modify, enter the account number and modify the LIEN
amount to 0(zero) submit the transaction.
3.Verify the same in the
supervisor using the menu HALM.
4.Charge the LIEN amount
as RD loan interest in the SB cash.
